South Staffordshire’s Adult Learners’ Open Day
Pendrell Hall College is again hosting the Adult Learners’ Open Day for South Staffordshire on Saturday, 17 May 2008. The event runs from 2.00 – 5.00 pm and entry is free.
Transport is also available on a regular basis from the Bilbrook, Birches Bridge and Codsall area – just look out for the minibus with Open Learning Day sign.
The taster activities provide opportunities for adults and families with children to experience something new. Some 21 activities are available ranging from Complementary Therapies to Tai Chi, and Card Making to Silk Painting. There will also be displays of children’s dancing and an opportunity to visit a mobile library and the County Council Information Trailer. Information on the South Staffordshire District’s services will also be available..
The College’s 2 observatories will be open with an opportunity to look at the sun – weather permitting – through safe special instruments.
Refreshments will be available to purchase including Pendrell Hall’s own home-made cakes and cookies.
In the evening the annual Adult Learners’ Award presentation will take place at the College with over a number of adults being presented with certificates by Keith Cackett – Staffordshire’s Deputy Corporate Director for Children and Lifelong Learning.

The Wonderful World of Perfume
If you weren’t able to attend the one day course on 6 October, there will be another chance on 23 April 2008. The course will take you on a wonderful sensory journey into the glamorous world of perfume. Learn about the power of fragrance, its importance through history, and what your perfume personality is.

Art Exhibition
Pendrell Hall holds regular art exhibitions throughout the year. The current exhibition features paintings by Tim Nash and Alan Warden, popular tutors at Pendrell Hall.
